River Clean events are now frequent in Grimsby.\u00a0 They are not Blue Lights Brigade events but we always get involved.\u00a0 Our BLB volunteers attend to lend a hand but also to help coordinate the very many local community volunteers who turn up on the day.<\/p>\n

River Clean events are normally working on the River Freshney to get rid of the junk and rubbish that prevents the free running of the river.\u00a0 So we’re helping to make the are look better whilst reducing flood risks at the same time.<\/p>\n

The events are great for community participation, are keenly supported by local Neighbourhood Watch groups and are something valuable for BLB volunteers to engage with.<\/p>\n

Riverclean events are simply one example of the sort of volunteering opportunities available to BLB volunteers.\u00a0 Why not get in touch and find out more about what you could be doing.<\/p>\n
